The Redesigned 2025 Nissan Kicks in Fort Bend, TX

The Nissan Kicks, one of the most exciting subcompact SUVs on the road, is better than ever this year thanks to a comprehensive redesign. A bigger footprint, striking design, and an upgraded cabin are a few things to discover on the 2025 Nissan Kicks, as well as newly available all-wheel drive (AWD) for Gillman Nissan shoppers.

Performance

The entry-level 2025 Nissan Kicks S, midrange 2025 Nissan Kicks SV, and range-topping 2025 Nissan Kicks SR are the three trims comprising this redesigned SUV's lineup. All are powered by a new 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine that outputs 141 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque - 19 horsepower and 26 lb-ft of torque more than last year's engine. This power plant pairs with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and either standard front-wheel drive (FWD) or available AWD, the latter being a rare treat in the subcompact SUV category.

The 2025 Nissan Kicks comes in three main trim levels, each offering a variety of features:

  1. Kicks S:

    • Engine: 2.0-liter Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder engine
    • Transmission: Xtronic CVT® (Continuously Variable Transmission)
    • Wheels: 16" Steel wheels with wheel covers
    • Infotainment: 7" Touch-screen display, Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System
    • Safety: Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning, RearView Monitor, Safety Shield® 360
  2. Kicks SV:

    • Wheels: 17" Steel wheels with wheel covers
    • Interior: Premium cloth seat trim, Intelligent Key with approach unlock & walk away lock
    • Infotainment: NissanConnect® 12.3" touch-screen display, Wireless Apple CarPlay® integration
    • Safety: Intelligent Cruise Control, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Warning
  3. Kicks SR:

    • Wheels: 19" Aluminum-alloy wheels
    • Interior: Leatherette-appointed seat trim with sport cloth inserts, Leather-wrapped steering wheel
    • Infotainment: Optional ten speaker Bose Personal® Plus Audio System, Intelligent Around View® Monitor
    • Safety: ProPILOT Assist, Intelligent Lane Intervention, Rear Automatic Braking

Cabin

We had to move a few things around at our Rosenberg, TX Nissan dealership to accommodate the 2025 Nissan Kicks model's bigger footprint. This SUV is 2.8 inches longer and 1.6 inches wider than last year, creating a more spacious cabin and a considerably larger cargo area that at 30 cubic feet is 4.7 cubic feet larger than the previous generation. Folding down the second-row seats reveals 60 cubic feet of storage space, which is 6.9 cubic feet more than 2024.

The cabin of the 2025 Nissan Kicks is also home to a great infotainment platform and a diverse range of touchscreens. The entry-level trim comes with dual 7-inch screens, while the 2025 Nissan Kicks SV pairs a larger 12.3-inch infotainment screen with its 7-inch gauge display. The 2025 Nissan Kicks SR upgrades to a pair of 12.3-inch displays.

Safety

All three versions of this new Nissan SUV come standard with Nissan Safety Shield® 360, a next-gen suite that includes lane-departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and rear cross-traffic alert. The 2025 Nissan Kicks SR adds advanced features such as traffic sign recognition and oncoming traffic assist, as well as the Nissan ProPilot Assist platform, which supports semi-autonomous driving at low speeds.
