After 16 long years, the
2022 Nissan Frontier
gets a full redesign that harks back to the Nissan Hardbody, while
retaining the core values like power, capability, and dependability that
have always been a hallmark of
new Nissan trucks
. It's poised for dominance in the midsize pickup class.
2022 Nissan Frontier Performance
The 2022 Nissan Frontier sports ladder-frame construction and significantly
upgraded suspension to make for a better drive than the previous model. Its
310 horsepower 3.8L V6 engine leads among gas engines in the midsize pickup
class; it's paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission shared with the
Nissan Titan
. The S, SV, and Pro-X trims come with rear-wheel drive or an optional
four-wheel driveline, while the Pro-4X trim makes 4WD standard.
2022 Nissan Frontier Productivity Features
The 2022 Nissan Frontier comes in Crew Cab or King Cab, with your choice of
standard or long bed. The S trim can tow up to 6,720 pounds when equipped
with a 4x2 driveline and short bed. Payload tops out at 1,460 pounds. You
can also enhance the capability of your new Nissan truck with an available
spray-in bed liner, a damped locking tailgate, bed rail caps, and more.
2022 Nissan Frontier Interior
The interior of the 2022 Nissan Frontier is striking. Fully modernized, it
features the largest touchscreen in its class, through which you can use
the standard Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®, plus a seven-inch Advanced
Driver Assist display. The ergonomics - from the dash layout to a center
stack that puts more information at eye level, plus a new center console
and storage solutions - are vastly improved. The feel and appearance are
decidedly more premium as well. Zero-G seats are standard now, and the top
Pro-4X trim offers orange contrast stitching and interior accents.
Upgrades abound inside and out. These include trim-level additions like a
locking rear differential and steel skid plates, and a range of option
packages that add leather upholstery, a Fender Premium Audio system, 120V
