Our Nissan Service Department, Sales, Parts Center, and Body Shop are open and are here to help you. Our facilities and our inventory have not sustained any damage. We did not lose electricity and did not experience any flooding, but we know many in the community have. All of our technicians are factory trained and are here to answer any of your questions.

What will be your Service Center's hours in the coming days?

Our Service Center will be open our normal hours in the coming days:
Monday-Friday 7am-5pm
Saturday 8am-5pm
Sunday Closed

My vehicle is at Gillman Nissan. Did it get damaged by the recent flooding?

We have checked all Gillman locations. All customer vehicles are fine and show no sign of damage. Again, none of our stores experienced any flooding.

I think my car is flooded in my driveway or garage. What do I do next?

First, call Gillman Nissan Service Department at (800) 639-8630. We will arrange to have a tow truck pick up your vehicle and have it delivered to our service department. Next, call your auto insurance provider and start the claim process. Make sure you take down the insurance claim number and insurance contact names. We will work with your insurance company to repair any damage to your vehicle. We have over 80 years of experience helping drivers in all kinds of situations, and we are here to help get you back on the road fast!

Should I try to start my car if it was under water?

We do not recommend attempting to start your vehicle because it could cause further damage. We also do not recommend that you attempt to drive your vehicle as it could stall, endangering you and your passengers.

Will Gillman Nissan assist in fixing flooded vehicles?

We recommend a factory-trained technician at our Nissan service center inspect every vehicle that was in high water. We will provide a complimentary flood inspection at Gillman Nissan, reviewing the vehicle filters and fluids.

What will I drive while Gillman Nissan repairs my vehicle?

The insurance company typically provides rental car transportation. If your insurance company approves a rental car for you, they will specify the number of days and the amount per day, and will contact a rental agency. Gillman Nissan can help you secure a rental car, as well. In addition, Gillman Nissan provides a complimentary shuttle service for our customers.

Who is responsible for the repairs on my vehicle?

Typical repairs should by covered by your insurance policy. However, not all claims are immediately approved. In some instances, additional communication between you, your insurance provider, and the Gillman Nissan repair shop may be required. 

I had to abandon my vehicle on a street or a highway, and it is no longer there. How can I find it? 

If the city towed your vehicle, you can find it by going to //www.findmytowedcar.com/. You will need to know you license plate number or 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). You can find your VIN on your insurance card.
 

My vehicle has been towed or needs to be towed. How much will the tow cost?

If the City of Houston or the Police Department ordered the tow, there is a city mandate that tow companies cannot charge you more than $165. If you arrange for your vehicle to be towed to a location, it's best to negotiate the price up-front with the tow company.
