Here at Gillman Nissan of Fort Bend, we know that some drivers are looking for greener cars these days. Everything from sedans to crossovers like the 2018 Nissan Rogue have been designed to offer better fuel economy in recent years. If you really want to go green though, there's one option you need to take a closer look at. We're talking about the Nissan Leaf. The 2019 edition is on the way and we think this green vehicle is going to be more impressive than ever.

The 2019 Nissan Leaf is making a comeback with some big upgrades that should help it stand out in an increasingly crowded field of electric vehicles. The big news is the introduction of an “E-Plus” version that would come equipped with a larger battery pack. Based on what we've heard so far, the Nissan Leaf E-Plus would be powered by a 60-kWh battery, which is a significant upgrade compared to the 40 kWh pack found in the current Nissan Leaf. This model could also get a more powerful electric motor. It could have a total output of 200 horsepower, marking a twenty-five percent increase over the current model.

This is all great news, but we know what green car enthusiasts are really concerned about. What's the range look like? Fortunately, that larger battery pack should allow the 2019 Nissan Leaf E-Plus to drive pretty far without needing a recharge. We expect to see a range of more than 200 miles, possibly up to 225 miles. The battery can also charge faster than before, so you'll be able to get back on the road sooner than expected. We can't wait to see this new green car for ourselves.
