The Gillman Automotive Group has been part of the Houston community for 80 years, so you know that we're committed to helping our friends and neighbors get back on the road as soon as possible. At Gillman Nissan, we're fortunate in that our facilities and inventory didn't suffer any damages, nor did we lose electricity or experience any flooding. Sadly, that's not the case for many of you, so we put together this quick list of what to do.

If your vehicle was flooded, do not attempt to start it. Doing so could cause further damage. Instead, call our service department and we'll arrange for a tow truck to pick up your vehicle and deliver it to us. We're offering complimentary flood inspections, and our factory-trained technicians are ready to undertake any repairs necessary.

It's important to call your insurance company and start your claim, and make sure to write down both your claim number and any insurance company contact name(s). We'll work with your insurance company from there on out, though additional communication with you may be required to get the claims approved promptly.

If you had to abandon your vehicle and it's since been towed by the city, you can find it by going to http://www.findmytowedcar.com/. Please note that you will be required to enter either your license plate number or 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). If you don't know your plate number, you can find your VIN on your insurance card.

At Gillman Automotive Group, our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who's been impacted by Hurricane Harvey. If there's any way that we can help you at all, please don't be afraid to contact us.
