With research done by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration we know that a tire that’s below the recommended pressure is almost three times more likely to be involved in a tire-related crash than a tire that’s at the proper pressure. And besides safety your tire’s inflations also affects your wallet. It’s been proven that low inflation costs vehicle owners more money over time in reduced fuel economy and added tire wear.
Thankfully Nissan is always a step ahead with Easy Fill Tire Alert, which takes the guess work out of filling tires to the correct pressure. With a beep of the horn to alert you proper pressure is reached. And if the tire pressure drops to an unsafe level, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System will alert the driver with a light on the gauge cluster. Once the driver stops to add air, the Easy-Fill Tire Alert system activates the four-way flashers so that the driver can see the tires are inflating, then honks the horn once to signal that the tire is at the proper inflation level, and if you over fill it will honk the horn twice.
