Now more than ever, people are communicating via text. Texting while driving has become a huge danger to drivers. On average, a driver looks away from the road to read or respond to  a text for nearly five seconds. Many cities and states have already started banning the use of phones while driving, giving tickets to violators. Nissan has created NissanConnect that has text messaging and email capability, allowing drivers to safely view and respond to text messages and emails while on the road.

We have a large selection of vehicles with NissanConnect SMS and email capability at Gillman Nissan in Rosenberg so drivers in the Katy, Houston and Sugar Land areas can safely drive without getting distracted by the use of their phone.

Nissan knows the importance of safety. Nissan is even starting a Red Thumb Pledge to encourage drivers to put their phones down while driving. Join us and make your thumb red to remind you to not look at your phone while on the road.

Nissan Connect allows drivers a way to stay connected to family and friends without compromising safety of anyone on the road. This function is available on select 2013-2015 models.

How it Works

NissanConnect works through the use of Bluetooth. Each time you receive a message, you can choose to have the text read out loud by voice recognition technology. If you choose to respond to the message, you can pick a pre-loaded response or you can add a custom response to the list.

If you're looking for a safe way to stay in touch with the important people in your life, come to Gillman Nissan in Rosenberg. We are just a short drive from Houston and have plenty of available Nissans in our inventory that are equipped with NissanConnect, Bluetooth, Facebook, Pandora, SMS and email capability!
