Production is officially underway for the all-new 2016 Nissan Titan! Exciting news for all truck lovers in Texas, you’ll soon find the 2016 Titan in Houston at Gillman Nissan Fort Bend.
Nissan’s Canton, Mississippi Assembly Plant, where production was launched, opened in May 2003. With more than 6,000 employees, the facility has produced over three million vehicles with models including the Altima, Frontier and Murano.
Job One ceremonies were held with speakers including José Muñoz, executive vice president, Nissan Motor Company, Ltd. and chairman, Nissan North America, Inc.; Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant; Mississippi Lieutenant Governor Tate Reeves; and Steve Marsh, vice president, Manufacturing, Canton Vehicle Assembly Plant.
"It has been a long, hard journey getting to today and I want to express my appreciation to the entire TITAN XD team," said Muñoz, referring to the truck's planning, design, engineering, testing and manufacturing teams from Nissan facilities across the United States. "And now, the real hard work begins right here on this production line – delivering the promise of innovation and excitement designed into the new TITAN to our customers."

The TITAN XD is the first of many Nissan models due to launch in the coming months. You’ll find the new Titan for sale in Rosenberg later this year with three cab configurations, five grade levels, two frame sizes and three powertrain offerings.
